Trenton Funders Collaborative

The Princeton Area Community Foundation is one of 5 area foundations to address Mercer County’s critical needs through the Trenton Funders Collaborative.

The Collaborative wanted to address the obstacles facing Trenton public benefit corporations in delivering services to the people of our region. Research confirmed that the most constructive way to help Trenton’s nonprofits would be by providing a broad range of technical assistance to expand their effectiveness and efficiency.

The Princeton Area Community Foundation, The Mary Owen Borden Foundation, The Bunbury Company, The Fund for New Jersey and The Harbourton Foundation collectively committed up to $250,000 a year for three years to establish and run The Support Center in Trenton.

The Support Center provides expertise and resources to help nonprofits raise more money, work more effectively with staff, build a more powerful board, manage its finances and facilities for long-term impact in Trenton and Central New Jersey.
